WET PANTS

Come with me to a third grade classroom..... There is a nine-year-old kid sitting at his desk and all of a sudden, there is a puddle between his feet and the front of his pants are wet. He thinks his heart is going to stop because he cannot possibly imagine how this has happened. It's never happened before, and he knows that when the boys find out he will never hear the end of it. When the girls find out, they'll never speak to him again as long as he lives.

The boy believes his heart is going to stop; he puts his head down and prays this prayer, "Dear God, this is an emergency! I need help now! Five minutes from now I'm dead meat."

He looks up from his prayer and here comes the teacher with a look in her eyes that says he has been discovered.

As the teacher is walking toward him, a classmate named Susie is carrying a goldfish bowl that is filled with water. Susie trips in front of the teacher and inexplicably dumps the bowl of water in the boy's lap.

The boy pretends to be angry, but all the while is saying to himself, "Thank you, Lord! Thank you, Lord!"

Now all of a sudden, instead of being the object of ridicule, the boy is the object of sympathy. The teacher rushes him downstairs and gives him gym shorts to put on while his pants dry out. All the other children are on their hands and knees cleaning up around his desk. The sympathy is wonderful. But as life would have it, the ridicule that should have been his has been transferred to someone else - Susie.

She tries to help, but they tell her to get out. You've done enough, you klutz!"

Finally, at the end of the day, as they are waiting for the bus, the boy walks over to Susie and whispers, "You did that on purpose, didn't you?" Susie whispers back, "I wet my pants once too."

May God help us see the opportunities that are always around us to do good..

Remember.....Just going to church doesn't make you a Christian any more than standing in your garage makes you a car.

Each and everyone one of us is going through tough times right now, but God is getting ready to bless you in a way that only He can. Keep the faith.

Happy Daughter's Day

Yeah,

Its the first time, I have heard of such a day being celebrated.

I always thought that our society never loved us enough to want to celebrate such a day. After all we do have Parent's day where we wish our parents and do so much for them, but nothing is done for us in return on children's day.

I would like to wish every lady / girl reading my blog a very Happy Daughter's Day, for we are all daughters (be it a grandmom, mother, aunt, etc). You are the reason the World is a much more happier place to live in.

You bring about love and warmth wherever you go.
You are naughty, but tender.
You are emotional, but caring
You are the reason why men are much more caring. You are their inspiration. Like Sonia Gandhi is to our PM, Manmohan Singh, or like Mother Theresa / Lady Diana was an inspiration to men and women all over the world.

Cheers! All you lovely daughters. Enjoy not just today, but celebrate the fact that you are born a daughter.

The Power of Love

A story is told of a girl who got married and went to stay with her in-laws. For a time everything went off very well, but as years went by the mother-in-law started making her life a misery, running her down in front of people saying "why did my son ever marry you?" She was at her wits end and wanted to end her life.

So she went to her father and told him of her plight, and requested him to give her some poison to get rid of her mother-in-law. So he gave her some powders and told her to mix them in her food everyday, so that her mother-in-law would have a slow death without anyone knowing what killed her. But he also told her during this time to be extra loving and to go out of her way in pleasing her, and catering to her every need.

So she followed his advice, and as time went by, the mother-in-law was so happy with the way she was being treated, that she kept praising her daughter-in-law to the skies and told her friends that her son was really lucky to have such a wonderful wife. The daughter-in-law was so taken back by this sudden change of heart that she went to her father and told him that she did not want her mother-in-law to die and to give her some powders which would heal her. Her father told her "you know my child, those powders I gave you were only a tonic. What really changed her was your love and attitude towards her. That, he said is the "POWER OF LOVE"
